Time to move on.
Confession time, I guess.
DeviantART has kinda became a stagnant platform for me. It seems ever since Eclipse came into play, people just have stopped using dA all together. Seems kinda childish to me but I understand people are not as comfortable with this kind of presentation. That being said, the feedback I would get for my work has significantly decreased. If you guys know nothing about me, I thrive on the feedback of others. It keeps me going and keeps me motivated to create more content for others to enjoy. Don't get me wrong, favorites are nice but they're getting to the point where they feel kind of empty.
Y'know, the day before yesterday, my reddit account exploded. I posted a piece that I made in about an hour and with that alone, I got more comments, upvotes, AND followers in a day than I ever had in my entire odd something years on deviantART. Not saying I have more, I'm just saying I got more feedback on REDDIT than a platform that was meant for artists to receive feedback on their art. Don't get me wrong, I got super excited but in the back of my mind I felt kinda sad that I couldn't get the same reception on the platform I've been posting on for years.
That being said, I'm moving to other platforms. DeviantART has become more of an archive at this moment so if something happens I at least still have all of my art in one place. No, this doesn't mean my account here is dead, I'm just done working for an audience that isn't here. If you think my art is still worth following and you enjoy my content then follow my affiliate links below as I will be start posting there much more often. Quit My Job (For the sake of Happiness)
Just as the title states, I have quit my job. Once I saved up enough money to support myself for a while, I cut and ran. The whole place was falling around my ears and those higher on the food chain do not care. Seems everywhere I go they're in it for a quick buck instead of sticking it out for the long run. What happened exactly? For me- nothing in particular. I didn't quite like the commute and the pay I was making to be keeping up with my duties while cleaning up the mess that was left by the people before me was not worth it. That being said I'm going to be devoting the time I have to what really matters to me: My art, my wife, and my dog and you guys. So I am indefinitely opening up commissions and five dollar ($5) request slots. I am currently in the middle of developing pages and profiles of popular subscription and hire-on applications (Patreon, Fiverr, ect.). I will also be streaming art (Mon-Fri) and games (Sat-Sun) through Twitch. I also upload animations to my YouTube channel so feel free to check those out (and possibly subscribe cause I REALLY need to change my URL, I just need 20, guys ;w;). All of my affiliate links will be at the bottom of this journal entry so PLEASE! It would mean so much to me if you guys checked them out, shared them, tell your friends, loved ones, people you know who's looking for skills like mine. I will be doing this until I have found a much more flexible means of employment but even if I do find employment elsewhere that does not mean I will stop doing what I love. I hate to beg but I know you guys will do right by me and I will do the same for you ten-fold.

$20 Emergency Commissions
Emergency might be overstating what this is. I just need a little extra cash to give my computer the upgrade it so desperately needs. I've had this machine for about 8 years since it was built. It was a graduation gift to myself, using what I have learned to build and maintain this computer in my CIT classes. It's served me well by making it this far but now its age is starting to show. I know I just could wait for my paycheck to come in but it's hard to save money when you have payments and bills to pay. If you buy one commission from me, not only will you get quality art but you will help me build a more stable system that will handle everything I'm going to throw at it. So, please, consider commissioning me in building a system that would last 8 more years. Of course, I'm not forcing you to buy anything from me as I said I would never do. It's your decision to support the artists you think that deserve it and there are a good few out there that do. I know I don't post on here a lot and I have my own reasons for doing so but that doesn't mean I stopped doing art for you guys. You're part of the reason why I'm still creating and I thank you for that. Please send me a note or private message if you would like to receive a art piece from me.
My official Christmas Miracle!
I was heading to work to start my shift and I'm waiting to clock in, doing normal things to pass the time: eating lunch, playing mobile pool, ect. Then I get a call from a random number and decide to answer it. This man tells me he wants to talk to me about my loans. I'm like, "Sure, all I can say is that I have a fuck ton of them and I don't know why." He explains everything to me, even WHY I had these loans and owe the loan comapny over sixty thousand dollars ($60,000+) in student loans. I answer a few questions, help fill a questionnaire and make a case file.
THIS DUDE!
This guy tells me that I qualify to have my loans completely wiped! ALL OF IT! SIXTY! THOUSAND! MOTHA-HUBBIN' DOLLARS that's been over my head for months, thinking I would have to work the rest of my life throwing around boxes of paper just to pay for it! GONE!
Guys, I cannot begin to tell you how happy I am... I almost cried in the car from how excited I was. My smile was wide and I looked like a maniac but I don't care cause I'm gonna be loan free! I feel so much lighter! Like everything I've been doing is because I had loans to pay! Now it's gone... I don't have to fight anymore. Just a few more calls and a couple of "Yes, okays" they'll freeze my loans and whatever letter I get saying I owe gets forwarded to the company running the program and they'll be all like "I DON'T THINK SO!!! My boy here doesn't owe a cent! That's illegal, CEASE THIS BEHAVIOR!!!"
I'm crying while typing this out now. Tears of relief, happiness... Thank you guys for sticking around because I just witnessed a whole bunch of doors open for me and you can bet your sweet booty that I'm gonna be peeking in a lot of them. I just had my Christmas Miracle.
